This month's author spotlight hits close to home, because I personally know the beautiful Gia Wyatt! We actually worked together for a few years in our prior lives. Gia is an absolute ray of sunshine and I'm so excited to get my hands on her debut children's book, Army Brats: The Series!

How long have you been a military spouse?
- I’ve been a military spouse 16 years.
What is your favorite part about being in a military family?
- Moving to new locations and meeting new friends.
What would you say is your biggest challenge being in a military family?
- The biggest challenge is missing family events or gatherings when you don't live close, overseas, or in another state.
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with our current military families?
- Seek out help if you need it. Use your resources and do lots of research.
How or why did you decide to become an author?
- I have been writing all of my life. Writing poems, kept diaries. It was finally time to tell my story.
What book has been your favorite that you have written so far?
- This is my first book. I would have to say this one, but it will only get better.
Do you have more books planned for the future?
- Yes. This is a series!

- Maya Angelou
What’s a random fact about you we should know?
- I have a fraternal twin sister and she is now a published author too!
